Crafted Across Two Continents

Crafted Across Two Continents

A emme emerald-cut engagement ring thoughtfully crafted across countries, time zones, and distance. Designed through a fully remote collaboration, this timeless platinum piece carried deeply personal details - including engraved coordinates from the city where the couple first met - transforming the ring into a symbol of connection, trust, and shared journeys.

A Story Built Across Distance

Not every custom design journey happens in the same room.

This story began between two people living in different countries, separated by time zones, travel schedules, and distance – yet connected by a shared vision for something deeply meaningful.

The couple approached Emme Diamond looking to create a fully custom engagement ring entirely through remote collaboration. Every decision, conversation, and approval would happen across continents.

Despite the distance, they wanted the process to feel personal from beginning to end.

A Ring Designed Around Simplicity

The vision itself was beautifully refined:

  • an emerald-cut center diamond,
  • a platinum band,
  • minimal modern proportions,
  • and a clean timeless silhouette.

The client wanted a design that felt sophisticated without feeling excessive – elegant enough to remain timeless for decades.

At the same time, there was also a very real deadline attached to the project. The proposal was planned around an upcoming international trip, leaving very little room for delays.

Managing Distance Without Losing Personalization

One of the biggest challenges throughout the project was balancing speed with personalization.

The process involved:

  • remote consultations,
  • digital approvals,
  • sourcing the right emerald-cut diamond,
  • coordinating production timelines,
  • and communicating across multiple time zones.

Every adjustment required precision and flexibility.

Even through screens and video calls, the goal remained the same: to create an experience that still felt personal and emotionally connected.

A Detail Hidden Inside The Band

As the ring neared completion, the couple requested one final engraving inside the band:

The coordinates of the city where they first met.

Small and almost invisible, the engraving quietly transformed the ring into something beyond jewellery. It became a reminder of distance, timing, and the journey that brought them together.

The Final Delivery

The ring was completed only days before the proposal trip.

Despite the tight timeline and international coordination, every detail came together exactly as planned. The emerald-cut diamond sat cleanly within the platinum setting, reflecting the modern simplicity the couple had envisioned from the beginning.

Minimal in appearance.
Deeply personal in meaning.

A Story Finished Together

After the proposal, the client shared a message with us that perfectly captured the spirit of the project:

“It felt like every detail carried part of our journey.”

And perhaps that’s what makes custom jewellery truly meaningful – not only the final piece itself, but everything it represents along the way.
